Review:

Jesse Stuart is a fantastic writer of moral stories for youth. We read this warm, gentle story about a boy and his love for a dog to our young homeschool group, and the kids loved it. This is a great look into a time in the past when things were slower, families were close and strong, and kids were respectful and hard working. The ending is sad but also hopeful.
