My nine-year-old daughter loved this book. Holly is the doll left all alone in the toy shop on Christmas Eve. Ivy is an orphan who has no one to be with on Christmas Eve. This sweet story describes how the girl and the doll come together. It has wonderful illustrations and a good message. Parents should be aware that the dolls in the book make wishes and have feelings; avoid the book if that makes you uncomfortable.
