Creative and self-motivated sixth graders Rufus Mayflower and Kate MacKinstrey start a toothpaste company that becomes incredibly successful. This story, originally published in 1972, is a fun book with messages about entrepreneurship and creativity. It is not a top pick, but it is clean and shows how helpful math skills are in real life.
