There Really is a Santa Claus

Level 9
Review:

I learned so much from this book. I can’t believe I did not know this history before! Even though the book is a little disorganized, and the writing is a little dry in some places, I found the information very interesting and of much worth. I think everyone needs to have this knowledge of St. Nicholas and the evolution of how different countries have come to view Christmas and Santa Claus. The book is packed with true historical information that encompasses much more than just Santa Claus. However, I recommend this book for only serious, non-reluctant readers that are at a Level 9 reading level or higher. It would also be a great family read-aloud for older children (10+), especially during the Christmas season.
