Treasures of the Snow
My 8-year-old daughter and I read this book together, and it was truly a delight. The writing is beautiful, the story is very engaging and inspiring, and the educational value is high. The book takes you to a small village high in the beautiful Swiss Alps where two families and their stories intertwine. I loved the plots and how faith in Christ was a main theme. If you like this book, you will also like The Tanglewoods’ Secret, Rainbow Garden, and Star of Light by the same author. But I do not suggest The Secret at Pheasant Cottage because it contains some heavy, depressing content.
