Review:

Two Dogs and a Horse by Jim Kjelgaard is a compilation of several adventurous stories about friendship, perseverance, courage, and overcoming obstacles. These short stories are filled with excitement and danger and detailed descriptions of nature while a focus on a disabled character overcoming unimaginable obstacles was also included in several of the stories. The black and white charcoal illustrations incorporated throughout the book were also a beautiful addition. I recommend this book for families who love adventurous stories about the relationship between man and animal, but it may be difficult for sensitive readers, as it does mention the death of a man and some animals (naturally and in regards to hunting).
